Young Sitka spruce tips bring a sweeter, citrus-forward character rather than an aggressively piney flavor. A large spring harvest is vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen so the brewery can keep the beer available beyond picking season.

Skagway Brewing describes the beer as combining Skagway’s untreated water with locally sourced spruce tips, using hydroelectric power in the brewing process.
